Your obligations and duties:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and accessories for homes, businesses, and industries.
- Read and understand blueprints, drawings, plans, and specifications to ascertain the plumbing system’s design and layout as well as the layout of the waste and drainage systems.
- Utilise measurement instruments, such as levels and plumb bobs, to find and identify the locations of pipe connections, passageways, and wall and floor fittings.
- Use hand and power equipment to drill and cut holes in floors and walls to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
- Using hand and power tools or equipment, such as pipe cutters, benders, and threading machines, you can measure, cut, bend, thread, and connect pipes.
- Pipes should be joined using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment in accordance with the plumbing system’s standards and needs.
- Using air and water pressure gauges and other specialized testing tools, inspect pipes for leaks.
- Diagnose issues with the plumbing system and choose the best fixes.
- Help the corporate culture develop and represent Northland Properties in a professional manner.
- Performs additional tasks as needed
Requirements:
+2 years of useful experience as a handyman with a Red Seal or Understudy capability, or its same, and information on commonplace and government construction regulations.
Physical prerequisites
- Must be able to stand for 10–12 hours every day when working outside or in uncontrolled temperatures.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and lift objects weighing more than 25 kilograms safely.
- Being able to climb scaffolds is a need.
