It is imperative to have prior frame repair knowledge with Caterpillar Ultra Class Haul Trucks.

This position will rotate through 14 consecutive shifts. We are specifically searching for someone with a Journeyperson Welding certification and a valid driver’s license who is a safety-conscious team member, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Workplace Environment:

  • Mended and welded Caterpillar equipment
  • Prior experience repairing the frames of Caterpillar Ultra Class Haul Trucks is essential.
  • Run a number of equipment diagnostic repairs
  • A complete collection of technical documentation, including crossover notes and the warranty
  • As required, assist the Service Supervisor and Lead hand with a variety of tasks. Interact with clients, sales representatives, and other Finning staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Certification for Welders Across Provinces
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a recent, successful driver’s abstract. Safety-conscious team player with outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Having completed a course on a Caterpillar product would be advantageous.

Note:

  • It is a 14×14 continuous day/night shift rotation at the D05 Kearl Facility where this post is located.
  • Hourly rate: $60.89 to $63.13 per hour; 12% regional wage supplements
  • a yearly boot allowance of $350.
  • The chosen individual must remain in camp while working; camp lodging will be supplied; customer flights from Edmonton or Calgary will be provided.
  • The rules and circumstances of the Collective Agreement will be followed for any potential future shift changes.
  • The present collective agreement’s provisions will be followed throughout the candidate selection process.
