The 2024–2025 Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) Program 

High-achieving African students can apply for the 2024–2025 Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) Program, which is offered by the African Development Bank and the Japanese government, to pursue master’s-level post-graduate courses. Applicants from African Development Bank regional members who have demonstrated a commitment to helping their nation’s development efforts and possess suitable professional and educational backgrounds are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements for the Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) Program

  • Three years of undergraduate study or a similar program.
  • At least a year of work experience in a native or African nation.
  • Good health and no older than 35 years old.
  • Admission to a master’s program approved by a partner university in Japan or Africa.
  • I am not currently enrolled in graduate degree programs.
  • Nationality of one of the member nations in the African Development Bank’s region.

  • Covers the full 24-month study program tuition fees.
  • Provides a monthly living stipend.
  • It requires air travel for the program to start and return.
  • Provides health insurance typically acquired by the college.
  • Allows an extra six months for internships or advanced coursework post-graduation.
