The 2024 President’s Doctoral Scholar (PDS) Award, University of Manchester: International students are encouraged to apply since the University of Manchester, in partnership with Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, grants over 100 studentships annually through the President’s Doctoral Scholar Award program. University of Manchester President’s Doctoral Scholar (PDS) Award Requirements

Maintain an unconditional or conditional offer for the Ph.D. program starting in September 2024.
Possess a first-class honors undergraduate degree from a recognized university or its equivalent.
Ideally, hold a master’s degree with honors or distinction.
Have a history of research participation, including contributions to journals, reaching a larger audience, and awards.
Participate in special activities to network with other PDS award holders and engage with the academic community.

Ph.D Application Process

Complete standard admissions procedures and be offered a Ph.D.
Submit online PhD applications.
Indicate the PDS Award application in the funding part of the application form.
View research topics, supervisors, and application procedures.
Internally examine all PDS submissions.
Interview a shortlist for mid-March 2024.
The Faculty of Biology, Medicine, and Health will provide three fully financed scholarships.
