The The 2024 Scholars Program of the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) is currently accepting applications from qualified applicants. This program offers intense career training and skill-building activities to help candidates advance their careers over the long term. The Scholars Program is an early career acceleration initiative that offers the chosen scholars from many partner universities a variety of options. Every scholar participates in a week-long orientation session where they learn about career development training, which is essential for easing their transfer into the global workforce.

NHEF Scholars Program Qualifications

  • Candidates must be dedicated to philanthropy, leadership, and community service.
  • Candidates must be either 300-level students in a 4-year program or 400-level students in a 5-year program at partner universities.
  • Young Nigerians with academic excellence and extracurricular or professional backgrounds are given intensive career training and skill-building exercises.

Application Process for NHEF

  • Use the NHEF Application Portal (https://portal.thenhef.org/) for application submission.
  • Register by entering your phone number, email, password, and first and last name.
  • Verify your identity by checking the registered email address.
  • Log in using the created password and email.
  • Access the application by clicking the APPLY tab.
  • Complete program essay questions and biographical information.
  • Upload supporting files: a one-page statement of results, a one-page CV, and a one-page cover letter.
  • Review and submit application responses.

Application Requirements

  • Candidates are advised to complete questions on a different document for easier copying and pasting.
  • The application cannot be saved, so it must be filled out immediately.
