Ban Ki-moon Scholarship for Young Africans as Global Citizens 2024

Ban Ki-moon Scholarship for Young Africans as Global Citizens 2024. To empower young African global citizens who are enthusiastic about taking action for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) is pleased to announce another call for applications for the seventh round of the Global Citizen Scholarship program. With the help of a summer school, peer-to-peer mentoring, expert training, and workshops on various topics, and a summer school, young African changemakers can address one or more of the SDGs in their community by proposing and implementing a localized SDG micro-project through the fully virtual GC Scholarship program.

Ban Ki-moon Global Citizen Scholarship Requirements

  • Eligible African youth, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, or race.
  • Nationals of Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, and Kenya.
  • Age range: 20 to 35.
  • A bachelor’s degree or above is required.
  • fervent dedication to the global citizenship ideals and the SDGs.
  • Minimum English proficiency: B2 (European Standards).

  • Personal information: name, phone number, address, date of birth, citizenship, gender, education, language proficiency.
  • Professional information: academic titles, organization name, role.
  • Information about the SDG Micro-Project: title, concerns, SDGs addressed, procedure, implementation.
