Based in South Surrey, METHOD Innovation Partners Inc., dba EXO Construction Group is a developing firm that designs, engineers, and manufactures unique goods for customers all around North America. Our thirty-person team produces a wide range of goods, from one-off items for the entertainment sector to high-volume items we’ve designed and developed and sold to end users and distribution channels across many industries, such as our EXO Modular Building System.
We are now looking for dedicated and driven people to work as full-time welders on our team.
We require vivacious people who can:
Depending on the specifications for the EXO roof and wall panels, choose the proper welding configuration or technique.
Assemble and position the parts following the guidelines for welding.
Utilize MIG welding
Use angle grinders to get the pieces ready for welding.
Use the cold-cut saw as necessary.
Lift, adjust, position, and secure steel through clamps, bolts, or welding methods.
Work parts can be manually directed into position, jigs, or tables by lifting, moving, holding, or clamping them in place.
Respect all quality protocols.
Keep your workspace neat, including your tools.
Keep the equipment in a state that doesn’t jeopardize the quality of the weld or safety.
When necessary, collaborate with engineering and design to work on new product specs and production.
Encourage efforts aimed at increasing production
Work hard, interact with others nicely, and make a meaningful contribution to the culture of positivity
Follow the stated safety procedures and work responsibly. Report any dangerous behaviors, mishaps, or hazards to the appropriate authorities.
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal guidance.
the ability to lift fifty pounds or more when necessary for extra duties
Education and Certification Requirements:
A valid welding ticket is required (further details below).
Compliance: CSA W47.1
Method: GMAW
S / Class: Flat classification
Labeling: FW / Category: Level, Horizontal, Vertical Dim
Range of thickness: 3 mm and up
Available for testing and training if necessary for the above categorization
A two-year technical degree, a high school diploma, or relevant certifications are advantageous.
familiarity with a range of welding tools and techniques
familiarity with both electrical and manual tools (such as saws, squares, and calipers).
Understanding of general safety requirements and readiness to wear protective gear (gloves, face shields, etc.)
A forklift ticket is useful.
Expertise:
Welding: two years minimum (ideally)
Minimum two years of production (Preferred)
