Canada Vacancy Job: Greenstone Mine Journeyperson Welder. Equinox Gold and Orion Mine Finance Group established Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. as a 60/40 joint venture to jointly own and develop the Greenstone Gold Property, which includes the Greenstone Mine situated on a former mine site in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone Belt in Ontario. A vibrant and skilled owner’s staff oversees the 14-year mine’s operational life, which is expected to require an expenditure of $1.5 billion during the three-year building and commissioning phase. To expand our workforce, Greenstone Mine is looking for a Journeyperson Welder. The Journeyperson Welder is accountable to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor for undertaking maintenance, overhauls, and new equipment builds connected to mining.

Primary liabilities could contain:
Assembling, maintaining heavy mining equipment, fixing problems, and doing full overhauls on time Provide advice on the scope of the repairs and offer ideas for improvement. Interpret technical manuals and work orders. Fulfill any documentation and reports related to your position as needed. Adopt a proactive mindset toward workplace health and safety and abide by all laws and regulations.
Skills and Appropriations
excellent verbal and written communication skills able to adjust and function in a diverse workplace, able to carry out monotonous work
at ease operating at heights driven, and capable of working unsupervised in a demanding setting. Work duties could include lifting to 50 pounds.
Experience, credentials, and schooling
Welding Certificate with a Red Seal Equipment knowledge from Komatsu, CAT, and Epiroc is regarded as a plus. expertise in heavy equipment repair and maintenance Working remotely in an environment Prior industry experience is preferred. knowledge of a mine site and a current driver’s license

On a rotating basis, this role will be headquartered in Geraldton, Ontario.
Greenstone Mine offers corporate transportation from several places for pickup.
