We are now looking for an aluminum welder to join our team in Delhi, Ontario at Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd.
Job Responsibilities:
- Tig and/or Mig welding of irrigation fittings and pipe made of aluminum
- capable of designing, fitting, and making components
- Examine completed work parts to ensure they adhere to specifications.
- Use and maintain shop hand tools and machinery safely, such as grinders, drills, band saws, and plasma cutters.
- Analyse final products, and inspect parts for quality.
- capable of adhering to production schedules
- To perform your work in a safe and effective manner and with less supervision
- assistance with other irrigation-related machinery
- Possess the ability and willingness to put in more hours during peak season.
Requirements for the position:
- Excellent mechanical and welding capabilities
- Knowledge of a variety of welding processes, such as Tig and Mig welding, and expertise in aluminum welding
- Minimum academic level of grade 12
- Able to solve problems
- Able to collaborate well and operate unsupervised
- Strong communication abilities both in writing and speaking
