International Students’ Macqueen Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh

The International Students’ Macqueen Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh is presently accepting applications from interested and qualified applicants to assist postgraduate social work research on single-parent households. The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust donated a substantial grant that allowed for this prize. Ms. Macqueen took the lead in educating the public, legislators, and policymakers about the difficulties faced by single-parent households.

Macqueen Scholarship for International Students: Eligibility

International students must apply.
Must be graduate students.
Must enroll in a full-time postgraduate program.
Full-time award valid for three years; part-time for six years pro rata.

Covers tuition costs in the UK, EU, or elsewhere.
Stipends are determined at the UKRI level for 2024–2025.

Macqueen Ph.D. Scholarship Application Process

Acceptance of updated or new documents is not allowed after receiving an offer.
Revised or new documents must be uploaded directly to the PhD application via the MyEd account.
Documents are then retrieved and sent to the scholarship system.

The University of Edinburgh Macqueen Scholarship Application Process

Two separate applications are required by the deadline.
The School of Social and Political Science requires applications for a PhD program in social work.
