USTC Doctoral Program Fellowship 2024

Doctorate students can apply for the USTC Doctoral Program Fellowship 2024 through the International College of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). There are three levels to the USTC Fellowship for Ph.D. programs: The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS-ANSO Grant) gives financing to Even Out A, which incorporates a month-to-month payment of up to 7,000 RMB, exhaustive medical insurance, and educational cost reduction.

USTC Fellowship for Doctoral Programs Eligibility Criteria

  • Non-Chinese citizens with valid passports and good physical and mental health.
  • Must hold a master’s degree equivalent to a Chinese master’s degree.
  • A pre-graduation certificate is required for degree completion by July 2024.
  • Under 35 for USTC Fellowship Level A and under 40 for USTC Fellowship Level B/C.
  • Chinese program applicants must pass the new HSK Level 4 or above.
  • English program applicants must prove English language proficiency.
  • Must meet admission criteria for international students.
  • Cannot take on other assignments during the scholarship period.

USTC Fellowship Benefits for Doctoral Programs

  • Level A: tuition waiver, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly stipend of up to 7,000 RMB.
  • Level B: tuition waiver, comprehensive medical insurance, monthly stipend of 3,500 RMB, accommodation subsidy.
  • Level C: tuition waiver; subsidy for teaching or research assistance available post-enrollment.

USTC Fellowship Application Procedures

  • Create an online application account.
  • Fill in all the required information and upload the required documents.
  • Keep an email box for further application documentation and online interview information.
  • Submit a photocopy of your passport, a study or research proposal, a curriculum vitae, two letters of recommendation, and a Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
  • For programs instructed in Chinese, provide an HSK certificate or proof of Chinese language proficiency.
  • For English programs, provide a valid IELTS or TOEFL result or proof of English proficiency.
  • Provide degree certificates and academic transcripts for both bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees.
