Los Angeles Lakers' Lebron James Scores Season-high 43 In Blowout Win Over Blazers


In his first game since turning 37, LeBron James scores 43 points. The Portland Trail Blazers were defeated 139-106 by the Los Angeles Lakers. With seven consecutive 30-point games, James is the oldest player in NBA history. This season, his 28.0 points per game average are his highest since joining the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was only the second occasion in his career that he had scored 40 points in less than 30 minutes.


Over the last seven games, he’s averaging 36 points on 58 percent shooting overall and 42 percent from 3-point range. James is the sixth player in NBA history to amass such numbers in a seven-game span. “I’m not a guy who just wants to jack a bunch of shots,” James explained. “I want to be efficient every night or whenever I’m playing.” James symbolizes going out and playing until you’re exhausted, according to L.A. Lakers coach Frank Vogel. Because he had spewed so much energy at one point, he requested a sub.
