International Students Awarded the Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships. Outstanding students from all around the world are given scholarships by the Flemish Ministry of Education for master’s programs in Flanders and Brussels. The program seeks to establish Brussels and Flanders as premier study destinations.

Scholarship Target Group:

  • International students, excluding Russia.
  • Scholarships are reserved for Japan, Mexico, Palestine, and the USA.

Master Mind Scholarship Value/Duration:

  • Grant of €10,000 plus tuition fee waiver per academic year.
  • Administrative enrolment fee only.
  • Mobility duration: one academic year for the 60-ECT Master program, and two for the 120-ECT.

Master Degree Programme Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a student pursuing a Master’s degree at a Flemish host institution.
  • High academic performance and potential are required, with a grade point average of 3.5 out of 4.0.
  • Good English language knowledge is required.
  • Host institution acceptance is required for scholarship eligibility.
  • Nomination by one Flemish higher education institution is allowed.
  • All nationalities, except Russian, can apply.
  • A previous degree from an outside Flanders higher education institution is required.
  • Students already enrolled in a Flemish institution are not eligible.

Scholarship Application Instructions

  • A direct application is not accepted.
  • The application must be submitted to the host institution.
  • Eligible applications are preselectable.
  • The application must be submitted online.
  • Deadline is April 28, 2023, 23:59 GMT+1.
  • Internal deadlines vary from February 1 to March 31, 2024.
