The Wild, Improbable Rise of The Weekend.

Dawn FM, The Weeknd’s fifth studio album, will be released on January 7th with a full album title and tracklist. Over the last decade, his melancholy, character-driven songwriting has had a significant impact on the sound of pop music. When it suits him, he also collaborates with glossy Top 40 monoliths like Max Martin. Here are 24 photographs from his illustrious career thus far. It’s a fan favorite, but it hasn’t had a lot of public success. On the Max Martin-produced “Love Me, Harder,” he discovered his hit with Ariana Grande. His biggest hit was “Can’t Feel My Face,” which reached No. 1 on the charts. In February 2016, The Weeknd won two Grammy Awards for “Earned It” and “Beauty Behind the Madness.” With its Daft Punk collaborations, his third album, Starboy, released in 2016, extended his sound in new ways. In the following year, he went on a world tour in promotion of the album, performing at venues such as Miami’s American Airlines Arena.

The Weeknd also made appearances at the MTV Video Music Awards and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2015. The Weeknd is a Halloween fanatic. Some were concerned about his well-being when he won an American Music Award in full make-up in November 2020.
