Mum's desperate plea for another year with daughter after cancer discovery in the shower

Rachel Coram has a type of cancer called advanced sclerosing fibromyxoid sarcoma, which affects both soft tissue and bones. According to the teaching assistant, she could have been living with cancer cells for ten years. Her cancer has spread after a year, and she needs to raise £100,000 for possibly life-saving therapy. She’ll go to any length to spend more time with her two-year-old kid. Her tumors had been treated with steroids and a high dose of steroids for 16 weeks in an attempt to reduce them.

But it will set her back £100,000 for four rounds of immunotherapy, which she will have to fund herself. Her parents even sold their Stockport home to help her pay for her private education. Rachel’s parents put their house up for sale to help pay for her cancer treatment. A Just Giving campaign set up by the mother of one has raised more than £70,000 in just a few weeks. Ipilimumab and Nivolumab therapies are currently not approved for Rachel’s illness, according to the NHS. They are, however, approved for the treatment of various cancers through the NHSEI or Cancer Drug Fund.
