Shortly before 11 a.m., ski patrol was dispatched to Crystal Mountain. A witness reported seeing a group of six skiers being engulfed by falling snow. Rescuers were able to find the gang and rescue the victims. The National Weather Service (NWS): At the peak, a wind gust of 94 miles per hour was recorded.
