The Los Angeles Clippers are on a roll after dropping four of their first five games. The Clippers upset the Miami Heat 112-109 on Thursday night, with George scoring 27 points and Reggie Jackson adding 22 in the second half as the Clippers won their sixth straight game. The Clippers trailed by 17 points in the first quarter when Miami’s Bam Adebayo scored 19 points. Eric Bledsoe had 21 points and Ivica Zubac had 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Adebayo scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for a season’s best. In the fourth quarter, Kyle Lowry scored 22 of his 25 points as Miami beat the Clippers 9-4 in the last 1:36. “Kyle, I like that.” Miami has now lost three straight games and four in a row. Tyler Herro scored 23 points for Miami, but he missed all six of his 3-point attempts. With 3.9 seconds left, Jackson hit two free throws for a three-point lead. In the fourth quarter, Bledsoe kept it going, hitting seven straight points, including a 3-pointer that extended the Clippers’ advantage to 93-82.
Adebayo set a season-high with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Miami defeated the Clippers 9-4 in the fourth quarter.
