Week 9 NFL Power Rankings: The Packers and Cowboys Leap To The Top.

The Cowboys have now won six straight games sans Dak Prescott. The Titans and Saints will have to battle without Derrick Henry and Jameis Winston if they want to compete. Cooper Rush filled in admirably for Prescott in Dallas’ 20-16 victory over the Vikings. With a 26-11 victory over the Dolphins, the Bills put their agonizing prime-time setback behind them. The Cardinals lost their unbeaten streak to the Packers, and their star player was forced to leave the field in a walking boot.

Murray must be handled with care if the team is to succeed in January. In his four games versus the Saints, Tom Brady has seven interceptions, while he has 13 in his other 24 games with Tampa Bay. On Monday, the Rams traded Von Miller to the Broncos in exchange for the three-time All-Pro edge rusher. After the Bucs’ 6-2 loss to the 49ers, Bruce Arians commented, “That was a humiliating performance of football.”

Lamar Jackson, the Ravens quarterback, is on track to throw for over 4,700 yards and run for almost 1,200 yards. Following foot surgery, Titans running back Derrick Henry will be out for 6-10 weeks. On both sides of the ball, the Saints have impact players and are one of the best coaching staff in football. The loss of quarterback Jameis Winston is a devastating blow to the squad, but they aren’t out of the woods yet. The Raiders are 5-2 in the AFC West and are about to face their major test.

The Chiefs, the division’s other team, have had their issues highlighted extensively over the past month. Mike White threw for 400 yards and 32 first downs, becoming the first Jets quarterback to do it in almost two decades. Cincy lost an 11-point fourth-quarter lead against a one-win team, the kind of defeat that makes you wonder who these Bengals really are.

The Chiefs’ big-play offense is still missing, and their difficulties in the red zone are no longer an outlier. With a 27-24 victory over the Chargers, the Patriots demonstrated that their defense can carry them to victories against superior opponents. After a dreadful 1-3 start, the Steelers are presently over.500 and might be in the first place before Thanksgiving. The Browns were in desperate need of a playmaker to come up and help them win a crucial game against the Steelers. Samuel has been the only constant in a San Francisco offense that has been uneven.

This season, Samuel is the only wideout with three 150-yard receiving games. On Sunday, the Niners scored on each of their final seven drives against the Bears. Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, confirmed on Monday that the pin that had been used to brace his fractured middle finger had been removed. In a rout of the Jaguars, Geno Smith started his NFL career with 14 straight completions and two touchdown throws. After that, the Dallas defense took over, and the Vikings’ defense crumbled in the final minutes against Cooper Rush. Mike Zimmer’s team had an opportunity to make a statement, but they came across as an afterthought.

In the Colts’ overtime loss to the Titans, Carson Wentz threw two interceptions in the final 7:30 of play. The Falcons lost 19-13 against the Panthers, and Matt Ryan had one of his worst performances as a pro. The news of Derrick Henry’s foot injury keeps the AFC South door ajar, but the Colts have dug themselves a significant hole. Von Miller was traded by the Broncos to the Rams in exchange for second-and third-round selections in 2022. It’s a small return for such a successful franchise, but you understand the decision.

Denver is a mediocre club, and Miller is a high-paid 32-year-old outside linebacker. In the Bears’ 33-22 loss to the 49ers, Justin Fields tossed a touchdown pass and rushed for over 100 yards for the first time in his career. In the game against the Chiefs, the Giants were without Saquon Barkley (ankle), Kenny Golladay (hip), and Sterling Shepard (quad). Matt Nagy of the Kansas City Chiefs isn’t going to make it to January if he keeps up this pace. In a 44-6 win over the Lions, the Eagles found a way to relieve pressure on Jalen Hurts.

Mike White becomes the first Jets quarterback to throw for 400 yards in a game in almost 20 years. On 10 of Washington’s last 13 trips inside its own 30-yard line, the offense has scored zero points. They’ve now lost seven straight games to the Bills (outscored 258-123 in those games). In a blowout loss against the Seahawks, the Jaguars made Geno Smith look like Joe Montana. For the first time since their historic winless season in 2008, the Lions are 0-8. The Texans’ greatest story is still Deshaun Watson, who will not be traded before Tuesday’s deadline. The upcoming offseason will be one of the most important in franchise history.
