New Jersey Weekly Match Preview 10/26.

In 2017-18, the New Jersey Devils have a 2-0-0 record with only one loss. For the length of those games, the team has been without its two most important defensemen, Damon Severson and Ty Smith. Miles Wood has yet to make his season debut, despite being one of the team’s most valuable players last season. On Tuesday, the Devils face the Calgary Flames. On Saturday, they face the Pittsburgh Penguins, and on Sunday, they face the Columbus Blue Jackets.

This will be the Flames’ second game in as many days, following their game against the Rangers on Monday night. Jesper Bratt has yet to make an impact against the Flames this season, but he is betting well. To date, Ryan Graves has an impressive 3 points (all assists) in 4 games against them. In this week’s video games, Nico Hischier, P.K. Subban, and Pavel Zacha are all players to keep an eye on. The Devils could be taking a chance against a hot Calgary Flames team by playing an away game against a team that hasn’t lost in a while.

The Penguins have been one of the best teams in the NHL so far this season, and they’ve already received their first video games. In their matchup against the Penguins, Damon Severson will be one of the Devils’ x-elements. In his debut season, Yegor Sharangovich scored an outstanding short-passed goal against Pittsburgh. In his career, Frédérik Gauthier has arguably had more hits against the Blue Jackets than any other team. P.K. Subban is eager to get started, and this is most likely the week for him to do so.
