Ed Sheeran has revealed on his Instagram account that he has tested high quality for Covid-19 and is self-separating. “It means that I won’t be able to go through with any in-character commitments for the time being,” he wrote in the post, “so I’ll be doing as many of my purposeful interviews/performances as I can from my house.” “Apologies to everyone I’ve let down,” he added. “Everyone, be safe.”
Sheeran asserted that he became self-disciplined and adhered to government regulations. The announcement comes as the singer-songwriter prepares to release his fifth album, =, on Friday. He gave a performance last week in London at the first Earth shot Prize honors, which were hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Shape of You singer was expected to appear on Apple Music’s Zane Lowe show next week to perform new songs and has a few other media appearances planned.
Sheeran will be touring the UK from April to September next year, with a three-night stand at Wembley Stadium in London, as well as stops in central Europe, Ireland, and Scandinavia as part of the Mathematics tour.
